CBM, is the construction building material division of St. Marys Cement. Collectively, the businesses operate as part of Votorantim Cimentos, one of the world’s leading suppliers of building materials. CBM’s Aggregates Division produces high quality sand and gravel from our pits and quarries, to service the southern Ontario construction market. Our products are used for new construction and infrastructure including, to build roads, bridges, homes, high rises and world-class facilitites facilities such as the CN Tower and Rogers Centre. The amount of material needed to support these improvements requires large-scale operations. As a company, we are committed to monitoring and mitigating the environmental impact of these operations.
CBMs Codrington pit, was licensed through the Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry in January 2014. Site development and County Road 30 upgrades concluded in July 2015, with shipping commencing shortly thereafter. Products from the 259 acre pit generally service the local market between Cobourg and Kingston. A range of sand and stone products including: concrete stone, concrete sand, round stone products, cable sand, tile bed material, pre-cast, surface treatment stone, granular A, screen B and fill material are all available at the pit.
